Woman Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison for Sex Trafficking

Los Angeles, CA — Melanie Denae Williams, a 23-year old self-proclaimed “hoe,” has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to sex trafficking. She also admitted to violently beating and abusing her victims who were mostly minors!

Williams, alias “Pretty Hoe” on social media, is behind bars after receiving the mandatory minimum sentence in November for the charge of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, as stated by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. She is also required to pay restitution to her victims.

According to her plea deal, Williams confessed that she recruited women through social media, including minors, to work as prostitutes. She also said she abused her victims, some through throwing bleach, punching, and beating with a broomstick. In one incident, she admitted to forcing the victim to get her name tattoed on her face and threatening to kill her if she leaves.

Moreover, the earnings of her victims from doing commercial sex acts all go to her for her own benefit.

Williams, who described herself on her Instagram account as “the most hated hoe in L.A.,” had previously uploaded videos of her physically beating and using guns to threaten her victims. She also posted pictures of her in bed with a man and twerking over piles of money on her Instagram and Snapchat account, which were used as evidence against her.
