Founder of African-Inspired Fashion Accessory and Home Décor Brand Launches New Spring Collection

Nationwide — Zifa Awoudi, the founder and CEO of ZifasBoutique, is gearing up to release her company’s new spring collection titled Couleur En Printemps. This new collection consists of unique and stylish African print handbags, statement gold necklaces, mud-cloth beddings, and mini bags.

ZifasBoutique is an African-inspired fashion accessory, and home décor brand based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and inspired by afro aesthetics from West Africa. The inspiration for the brand can be traced back to the founder’s upbringing in Togo West Africa, where she would help her mother and aunt sell fabrics during school breaks. This birthed a passion for Afro-Fusion fashion which would manifest decades later as ZifasBoutique — aptly named after the founder herself.

The idea for ZifasBoutique was sparked in 2008 when Zifa began orientation as a sales associate at a well-known clothing retail store. It was not until the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, after being furloughed, did the vision for ZifasBoutique begin to come to life.

Using 12 years of sales management experience at a clothing retail store, the founder carried over the values of excellent service, people skills, and running a successful business into ZifasBoutique, which is a significant aspect of what makes it the success it is today. Luxury, quality, and culture are also at the core of the brand’s values.

The Bedding Collection

This collection consists of duvet covers and blankets made from premium fabrics that are soft, breathable, and durable. These fabrics are made in a variety of colorful and vibrant prints and patterns, which illuminate the home, making them ideal for all seasons throughout the year.

The Accessories Collection

This is a collection of African print clutch bags, tote bags, beaded necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. Every item is handmade with the finest materials and is versatile, which makes the Accessories Collection fit for any occasion.

The Kitchen Collection

Created to help people spruce up their homes, this collection includes print napkins, placemats, and table runners. This tableware can be used in diverse spaces in the home such as on coffee tables, dining room tables, TV tables, chests of drawers, mantles, and more.

ZifasBoutique aims to help customers invoke cultural pride and feelings of joy using vibrant African prints. Ankara fabric (also known as African Wax), and Bogolan (or Mud Cloth), are some of the high-quality fabrics that Zifa’s homeware and fashion items are made from.

Every single item is carefully handmade using ethically sourced fabric from West Africa by artisans in Togo, Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Kenya.
