Nationwide — At only 17 years old, LeAnna Roberts, who is from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, has earned her Master’s degree from the University of Alabama. She received her first college degree when she was just 15 years old and has since earned 3 degrees in just 2 years.
Two years ago, Roberts completed high school at Central High and simultaneously earned an Associate’s degree in science from Shelton State Community College on the very same day.
“When I started my 9th grade year, I knew I wanted a challenge and I began to take dual enrollment courses at Shelton State Community College,” Roberts told WLBT.
Roberts went on to the University of Alabama as a junior and completed her undergraduate degree in biology by the time she turned 16. Now, she proudly holds a Master’s in Business Administration with a focus on Healthcare Management.
Roberts credits her parents for her success. She shared, “From an early age my parents really poured into me. I always had a love for reading, learning, science. I was a very inquisitive child.”
Roberts said transitioning to university life presented its challenges, but Roberts tackled them head-on.
“That was really the first thing I had to buckle down, re-evaluate, and learn different study habits and ultimately ended up very well,” she said.
Her academic achievements are proudly displayed with six cords representing her diverse interests and accomplishments, including membership in the MBA society.
Moreover, Roberts will begin another Master’s program at UAB in June. She aims to finish her second Master’s by 2025 and then pursue medical school.
