UMC Fall Out Fridays

Los Angeles, CA — RLJ Entertainment’s Urban Movie Channel (UMC) continues its summer long schedule of laugh-out-loud comedy titles with the return of “Fall Out Fridays.” Continuing with the romantic-comedy Mouthpiece on Friday, August 12, UMC adds a new comedy title each and every Friday until the beginning of September. An “urban Entourage meets The Hangover,” Mouthpiece follows Matt, a young black filmmaker that comes to L.A. to document his cousin, 3D’s, hot, new book on success, The Laws.

The Laws is a step-by-step guide that teaches any man to get what he wants, whether that is money, power and/or sex. After putting the laws to the test, Matt quickly joins the intoxicating nightlife of Hollywood. Along the way he realizes that in life you have to know the game. You have to know the laws. You have to have a MOUTHPIECE. Written and directed by David Merritt II, the film stars Lamonica Garrett (Blackish, The Game, Sons of Anarchy), Sean Poolman (Single Ladies, Casual), Jackson McQueen, James Costas, and Josh Pertler.

“We are excited to see the debut of our passion project, Mouthpiece, on UMC,” said director David Merritt II. “LaMonica Garrett shines in his starring role as an actor struggling to find love and success, and Jackson McQueen is absolutely hilarious as ‘Five Feet.’ Grab your popcorn and get ready to laugh!”

Other “Fall Out Friday” titles include newly added stand-up specials Capone: Live at the Apollo, Parts 1 & 2; Gary Owen: I Agree with Myself; Just Because Comedy Festival, which features The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah, as well as top South African comics Loyiso Gola, Kagiso Lediga, Eugene Khoza and David Kibuuka; Loyiso Gola: Life and Times which celebrates the award winning comedian’s 10th anniversary in comedy; as well as the comedy film Switchin’ the Script, which stars Ray J (Love and Hip Hop), Jackée Harry (227, Sister Sister), Thomas Mikal Ford (Martin), Denyce Lawton (House of Payne), and Bobby V.
