Nationwide — Jiare Schneider, a 31-year-old aspiring TikTok creator from Clayton County, Georgia, was found dead after being missing for more than a week. His body was discovered in a wooded area off Brown Road in the city of Jonesboro by his friends and family.
Schneider had reportedly borrowed a silver Toyota 4Runner from a friend before heading to Rumors Night Club but never returned. The group eventually found his body inside the vehicle deep in the woods, which is around 25 minutes from the club.
The wooded area is also near a “content house,” a place where social media influencers collaborate, that he had apparently visited earlier that night. His friends and family had been searching near the house but were blocked by construction, which delayed their efforts.
The family, feeling frustrated by the lack of immediate action from authorities, used Schneider’s cellphone location data that led them to his body.
“Of course, [we’re] relieved that we found him, but still angry that we didn’t get the resources, the help that we were asking,” Bell said.
Schneider, remembered as a devoted father, brother, and friend, leaves behind a young son with DiGeorge Syndrome.
Meanwhile, his family is speculating foul play may be involved in his death. Clayton County police said the case is now under criminal investigation.
