HBCU Grad Makes History, First Black Woman to Host a Financial Literacy Summit at the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center

Ruby Taylor

Nationwide — Ruby Taylor, Founder of Financial Joy School, will be hosting the Financial Family ReUnion Summit at the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center in San Francisco, California on February 28, 2025. The event will empower Black, Brown, and disabled individuals, families, and organizations to build generational wealth. She is a double HBCU grad of both Howard University and Virginia Union University, and she is also the first African American woman to host such an event at the Nasdaq Entrepreneur Center.

Imagine your family and community breaking the cycle of financial struggle and building wealth that lasts for generations. This is not just an event—it’s the beginning of a movement to ensure financial empowerment for every family and community. The Financial Family ReUnion Summit is here to turn that vision into reality.

Hosted by Financial Joy School at the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center on February 28, 2025, this groundbreaking event marks the official launch of the 1,000,000 Generational Wealth Movement. It will unite families, organizations, community leaders, and advocates to close the wealth gap and empower participants with tools and strategies to transform their futures and uplift their communities.

Ruby shared her excitement: “The Financial Family ReUnion Summit is more than just a gathering—it’s a celebration of possibility and a rallying cry for change. Together, we’ll unlock pathways for Black, Brown, and Disabled communities to secure financial futures and close the wealth gap.”

Did you know that only 39% of Black families and 28% of Hispanic families own stocks, compared to 67% of white families? This Summit aims to change that narrative by providing the tools and knowledge needed to build generational wealth.
