Nationwide — Jeanita Hopings, a 45-year-old African American woman from Toledo, Ohio, is wanted by police after allegedly breaking into her boyfriend’s home and cutting his scrotum open with a sharp object during a violent attack.
According to People, the attack happened on October 7 when Hopings reportedly kicked down the front door of her boyfriend’s house and entered without permission. Investigators said she then attacked him with an unknown sharp object to slice open his testicle sac.
Officers who responded to the scene found the victim bleeding heavily from his injury. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for emergency care. The police warrant stated that “the victim’s testicle was clearly exposed as the result of the laceration.”
Authorities have since filed arrest warrants for Hopings on charges of felonious assault and aggravated burglary. As of now, she remains at large and has not entered a plea.
Court records show Hopings has no prior felony convictions but has faced several misdemeanor charges in the past, mostly traffic-related. Toledo police continue to search for her and urge anyone with information about her location to contact them.
