Nationwide — Ex-NFL player Sam Beal, who is 29 years old, has been missing for more than 7 months, and his family is asking the public for help. The former New York Giants cornerback was last seen in July 2025, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
Beal’s sister, Essence Zhane, shared a post online with his photo, a missing persons report, and a receipt from the day he disappeared. She wrote, “Tomorrow makes it seven months since we’ve last heard from or seen my brother. We’ve done everything we could on our end to piece things together and at this point, we’re in desperate need of support on all ends.”
According to People, Beal was last seen on July 12, 2025, after dropping off his girlfriend. He had planned to use her car to go to work, but instead drove toward Virginia Beach, Virginia. The next day, he called his girlfriend to say he would return home, but he never did.
Investigators later found the girlfriend’s car in Virginia Beach with Beal’s shoes and socks inside and sand on the floor. He had only the clothes he was wearing, a pair of slides, and his wallet containing his driver’s license and bank card. Beal is 6’2”, 185 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair, a short beard, and a muscular build.
Beal was drafted by the Giants in the 2018 supplemental draft. He missed his rookie season with a shoulder injury and opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19. He played six games in 2019 and three in 2021 before being released late that season.
Authorities and Beal’s family continue to seek any information on his whereabouts. Anyone with details is urged to contact law enforcement to help bring him home safely.
