Angie Stone’s Children Sell Her Atlanta Home Amid Financial Struggles Following Her Death

Angie Stone's home

Nationwide — Angie Stone’s children are putting their mom’s Atlanta home on the market after struggling to cover expenses following her sudden death last year. According to the family, debts and ongoing legal battles made it impossible for them to keep the property.

Stone, known for hits like “Wish I Didn’t Miss You” and “No More Rain (In This Cloud),” died in a tragic car accident in March 2025, at age 63, in Montgomery, Alabama. Her children, Diamond Stone and Michael Archer II, inherited her estate and now juggle financial pressures alongside their grief.

The home sits at 6009 Golf View Xing in the quiet Locust Grove golf community. This all-brick ranch on a corner lot covers 5,912 square feet, featuring five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a rare four-car garage. A soft renovation refreshed the house while leaving room for the next owner to make it their own. Zillow currently lists the property for $670,000, according to EURWeb.

Financial difficulties forced the sale. Stone had claimed she was owed significant sums from royalties and publishing deals, but her children have struggled to access these funds. Maintaining the mortgage on the nearly 6,000-square-foot house became unsustainable, and earlier fundraising efforts highlighted the family’s urgent financial needs.

Adding to the complexity is a wrongful death lawsuit related to the crash. The suit claims a distracted truck driver struck the van that Stone and her bandmates were traveling in after it overturned, resulting in her death. The case names the truck driver, trucking company, and vehicle manufacturer, seeking damages for Stone and other victims.
