Nationwide — FRONTLINE, the award-winning documentary series on PBS, has endeavored to probe into the African American anti-abortion movement in the United States (Click here to watch the episode online). The Rev. Clenard H. Childress Jr was highly featured in this short documentary by PBS which attempted to investigate and understand the argument presented by both sides of the abortion debate.
“Much of the reporting of the issue of abortion in the Black community has always produced censorship and extreme bias, but I must say this report was pretty objective,” he went on to say. “PBS is far from a conservative source and normally has a left leaning political slant but this was well towards the middle and I appreciate that. Still I wonder why they won’t allow comments any more. I guess they didn’t like the anti-abortion comments they were getting.”
Yourba Richen was the lead journalist for FRONTLINE on this project and did extensive filming and travel to cover Rev Childress and various Afro-American pro-life ministries. Yourba’s travel also included trips to Planned Parenthood and historian Cynthia Greenlee, PHD. Yoruba Richen is an award-winning documentary filmmaker who has directed films in the U.S. and abroad including Africa, South America and Southeast Asia. Her work has been featured on PBS, New York Times Op Doc, New York magazine’s website, The Cut and The Atlantic. Her last feature documentary, “The New Black” won multiple audience awards, won best documentary at the Urbanworld Film Festival and was nominated for an NAACP Image Award and a GLAAD Media Award.
Rev. Dr. Johnny Hunter, the National Director of LEARN – The Life Education And Resource Network (www.LearnInc.org), casually chatted with Ms Richen and attended some of the sites where the FRONTLINE Investigative team filmed. “I got a lot of calls on this report and people were surprised PBS even did the report. stated Rev Hunter,” One thing for sure the historian clearly pronounced Margaret Sanger as a racist and that’s what needs to be understood about the agenda and motives of Planned Parenthoods founder and her diabolical plan to invoke “Black Genocide” in the African American community.”
According to Allan Guttmacher, the research arm of Planned Parenthood, 52% of all African American Pregnancies end in abortion (Source: www.BlackGenocide.org). That’s even worse odds for a soldier on D day surviving the first hour of battle. So an American soldier on D day had a greater chance of surviving the bullets, bombs and bigots of the Third Reich than the attempt of an African American baby attempting to breach the womb and take their first breath. So when Rev Childress says, “The Most Dangerous Place For An African American To Be Is In The Womb,” this is not an absurd rant from a right wing fanatic. He says it’s a sociological fact – a fact that needs to be changed. 1,786 African American children are killed each day by abortion alone. It is obviously fulfilling the eugenic plan of Margaret Sanger and the Negro Project expresses that purpose.
“Most of all, it becomes apparent through all the discussions that the anti-abortion activist believe the baby to be a person and not a thing. The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King summed it up quite well during the civil rights movement in his speech given in 1960 at the conference of the National Urban League called ‘The Rising Tides Of Racial Consciousness,'” he states.
Childress adds, “The primary reason for uprooting racial discrimination from our society is that it is morally wrong. It is a cancerous disease that prevents us from realizing the sublime principles of our Judeo -Christian tradition. Racial discrimination substitutes an I-it relationship for the I-thou relationship. It regulates persons to the status of things . Whenever racial discrimination exist it is a tragic expression of mans spiritual degeneracy and moral bankruptcy.”
He believes that there is no institution more decimating and destructive to the African American community than abortion. There is no practice more depicting the I-it relationship Dr. King called “a tragic expression of man’s spiritual degeneracy and moral bankruptcy” than abortion. I AM A MAN and in as many cases WOMAN.
