2nd Annual New York Black Expo to Empower the Community on Saturday, December 13th

New York, NY — The Black Expo East presents its second annual 2014 New York Black Expo, Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 11am to 8pm at the elegant Hotel Pennsylvania located 401 7th Avenue @ 33rd Street in Midtown across from Madison Square Garden.

This year’s New York Black Expo will focus on empowering the community, business, education and the health of African Americans and will include a business expo, music concert, fashion show, comedy show and community panels.

Admission price is $15 per person ages 13 and up and children 12 and under are free to attend. Few vendor/sponsorship opportunities are still available. Mark Anthony Jenkins, President and CEO of New York Black Expo Inc. says, “African-American entrepreneurs are smart, strategic and talented. The expo provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase their products and recycle their dollars within the community.” African Americans are spending money and are a vital force to the New York economy, says industry economic analysts.

The “2014 New York Black Expo” offers businesses and organizations numerous ways to connect with consumers during the holiday season. With a goal in mind to educate and uplift our growing, diverse community, the 2014 New York Black Expo highlight culture in many different areas. This event has attracted major sponsors such as Radio 103.9 FM, Enterprise Car Share, Harlem News Group, Spot Hero, Black Singles Magazine, Wellcare and the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. This event has also attracted local media sponsors such as Rhythm and Soul Radio, Simply Sensational Inc., The Paul Anthony Foundation, Harlem World Magazine, Keri’s Corner, Fashion Avenue News, Avante Garde Management Group, Memorie 4 Life Photography, Fashion School of Etiquette and NY Global Biz. More than 10,000 patrons are expected to attend.

This year’s musical guests include, Full Force, Melissa Morgan, Kurtis Blow, Delfonics Revue, Lynn Lockamy, Petawayne, and Charisa The Violin Diva.

The comedy show features, Kool Bubba Ice, Freddie Ricks, and Rip Michael, and this year’s fashion show extravaganza will feature several New York area designers including D. Mochelle Fashions, Styletainment, Strike A Pose, Willow & Wesley, Pinky Sez, Drew-Mon-Fer, Misperri Collection, Edgewear Designs, 710 Fashions, Franklin Rowe, Underwood NY, DUANT IT, Daft Minerva, B.B. Fashion, and Ray Vincente.

There will be guest speakers and authors as well as a special posthumous tribute to R&B singer, Phyllis Hyman, Rap pioneer, Big Bank Hank from The Sugar Hill Gang, and Dr. Myles and Ruth Ann Munroe.
