Black Teen Allegedly Kidnapped By Her Mom in Chicago Found Safe

Aiyanna Clark

Nationwide — Aiyanna Clark, a 13-year-old African American girl from Chicago, Illinois, who was reported missing after her mother allegedly took her in violation of a court order, has been found safe, according to police.

Clark was last heard from on June 20, prompting a missing persons report. Authorities believed her mother, Chineice Grigler, 35, had taken her without the father’s consent. A court order had restricted Grigler from having Aiyanna without approval.

According to Fox 32 Chicago, Grigler may have been in the Naperville area and could have been driving a black four-door Toyota when the girl went missing.

After several days of searching, the Chicago Police Department confirmed Aiyanna had been found. They did not release details about where she was located or how she was recovered, but said she was safe.

It’s still unclear whether Grigler has been arrested or if she will face any charges related to the kidnapping. The investigation is still ongoing.
