17-Year Old Student With 4.3 GPA Awarded $2M in Scholarships, Accepted into 38 Colleges

Nationwide — Amia Jackson, a student at Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, IL, has been accepted into 38 colleges (and counting) and has received almost $2 million in scholarship offers so far.

Amia is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars and the National Math, English, World Language and Civitas Honors Societies. She currently has a 4.3 GPA, is the Academic Chair for the Black Organization of Student Success, as well as a member of the Student Council and Varsity Club.

Over the years, she has been a member of the basketball, volleyball, and most recently the varsity bowling team. She has also been recognized as Student of the Quarter in World Language and Student of the Quarter in Career & Technical Education throughout her high school career.

Amia is also actively involved in volunteering at organizations like Bag Lady Outreach, Catholic Charities, and Senior Assistance during the pandemic. She says that she has been able to stay focused while dealing with the loss of loved ones throughout the last year.

She has not yet decided what university she will be attending yet but plans to study Business Management and pursue her real estate license after graduating from college.
