Nationwide — Russell Simmons is once again facing a lawsuit after another woman has accused him of rape. This woman claims that Simmons threatened her and her son in order to have sex with her. Simmons, however, has denied the allegations.
In a lawsuit filed last Friday, a woman only under the name Jane Doe claims that Simmons has raped her after they have met at a concert she attended in Sacramento with her elementary-school-age son. She said he also invited her to an afterparty in Los Angeles.
She admitted that she left her son to a babysitter and spent time with Simmons after the concert. But she emphasized that she did not want to have sex with him after going back to his hotel room so he could “get something.”
“I am going to f*k you or I’m going to f*k your son. You decide,” Simmons allegedly threatened her, according to the lawsuit.
She claims he raped her in the hotel room’s bed after that. It was not stated in the lawsuit when this incident exactly happened.
The woman is seeking at least $10 million in the lawsuit for damages for forcible rape, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress.
The music mogul’s name is recently being involved in various accusations of sexual assault and misconduct. Some of the women were Keri Claussen Khalighi, screenwriter Jenny Lumet, Jennifer Jarosik, and other unnamed women.
Simmons, the 60-year old Def Jam co-founder, is denying all the allegations. “I vehemently deny all the allegations made against me,” he said in a statement. “They have shocked me to my core as I have never been abusive or violent in any way in my relations with women. I have submitted myself to multiple lie detector tests.
“I denied forced sex and sexual harassment allegations brought against me in each test; I also answered no to the question, ‘Have you ever physically forced any woman to have sexual intercourse?’ I passed all of the lie detector tests.”
