Nationwide — Beyoncé’s daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi, joined her onstage during opening night of the Cowboy Carter Tour in Los Angeles. 7-year-old Rumi made a rare appearance alongside her sister, dancing with their mom during the song “Protector.”Rumi, who made her debut on the track “Protector” earlier this year, joined her mom and sister on stage for her first live performance, according to Essence. Dressed in a gold gown and cowboy boots, Rumi captured the crowd’s heart as she danced, smiled, waved, and hugged her mom, clearly enjoying the moment.
Blue Ivy, who has performed with her mom before, shared the moment with her sister. She embraced both Beyoncé and Rumi and reached out to hold Rumi’s hand.
Beyoncé shares Blue Ivy, Rumi, and her twin brother, Sir, with her husband, Jay-Z. Over the years, she has included her children in several performances, music videos, and recordings.
In a GQ interview published in October 2024, Beyoncé said she only tours when her kids are out of school. She also shared how much she values family time and their privacy.
“I always dreamt of a life where I could see the world with my family and expose them to different languages, architecture and lifestyles,” she said.
She added, “One thing I’ve worked extremely hard on is making sure my kids can have as much normalcy and privacy as possible, ensuring my personal life isn’t turned into a brand,” she said.
