Nationwide — Ceata Lash, Founder and Inventor of PuffCuff LLC and Joshua Esnard, Founder and Inventor of The Cut Buddy (recently featured on ABC’s Shark Tank) have entered a mutually beneficial collaboration to cross-promote each other’s brands and patented personal care products.

PuffCuff is an easy-to-use, hair clamp that doesn’t damage hair or cause pain while creating a variety of hairstyles for curly, textured natural hair. The Cut Buddy is a hand-held tool that helps shape beard and hair lines by functioning as a guide for clippers and razors. Recently, the inventors were introduced by a mutual business associate who realized his two clients could help each other reach new potential customers by cross-promoting their products via their respective social media channels.

The union of PuffCuff and The Cut Buddy will help both parties reach more men and women with the promise to ease the struggle that comes with styling kinky to curly hair textures and achieving a “barber-quality” line at home. Both products share similar, very reasonable price points; The Cut Buddy is $14.95 and PuffCuffs start at $16.49.

While both brands are currently selling on Amazon, they share the common strategic goal of wanting to expand their distribution to brick and mortar retailers and hope that by cross promoting brands they can increase awareness and sales in order to achieve their objectives. The two companies have recently posted on each other’s social media platforms and offered promotional codes via incorporating each other’s brand name. Additionally, Lash and Esnard are excited to announce that they have just created a fun lifestyle video featuring both products as well as a third product/brand they’ve collaborated with, Self-Cut System, all being used in an everyday situation. Viewers will receive a cross-branded discount code after watching the video in its entirety.

About Cut Buddy
The Cut Buddy (www.thecutbuddy.com/perfectbeard) launched in 2016 and became successful after a video on YouTube went viral and received 11 million views. On the November 12th episode of “Shark Tank,” Cut Buddy inventor, Joshua Esnard, secured a partnership with one of the “Sharks” Daymond John, the founder of the clothing and lifestyle brand FUBU. Through this partnership, Mr. Esnard hopes to be able to secure deals with retailers and grow his business further. “Meeting Ceata and sharing our common struggles as black entrepreneurs has been an incredible experience and I’m excited to see the efforts of our collaboration,” said Esnard.

About PuffCuff
PuffCuff (www.puffcuff.com) launched in 2013 and has had great success on social media, garnering over 20K Instagram followers, 44K Facebook followers and 218K YouTube views. In 2016, Ms. Lash became the first black woman to receive two patents on a natural hair accessory product. “One of the biggest pain points about being a first-time entrepreneur is finding entrepreneurial mentors who are willing to help you without asking for money in return. I’m honored that Joshua has agreed to work with myself and PuffCuff,” said Lash.
