Cassie Says Altercation With Diddy Left Her With a Permanent Scar on Her Eyebrow

Cassie and Diddy

Nationwide — Singer and model Cassie Ventura testified this week about a violent incident in August 2013 in which she sustained a deep gash above her eyebrow after being thrown down by Sean “Diddy” Combs during an argument in her apartment. New York Post reports that Ventura told the court that Combs was enraged that she had not packed for an upcoming trip, and after a struggle that involved two of her friends trying to restrain him, he threw her down onto the corner of her bed, causing the eyebrow injury. She was taken to a plastic surgeon the same day by one of Combs’ security guards and still has a permanent scar that she now conceals with makeup.

The testimony is part of an ongoing federal investigation into Combs, who is facing multiple lawsuits and accusations related to sexual assault, abuse, and human trafficking. Ventura’s detailed recollection adds to the mounting legal pressure surrounding the hip-hop mogul, who has denied all allegations. Her courtroom statements mark one of the first times she has publicly spoken under oath about the abuse she claims to have endured during their relationship.

Ventura described waking up to Combs screaming and aggressively confronting her in her apartment. “He was yelling about me being asleep and not having packed,” she said. The situation escalated quickly, and when her two friends intervened by jumping on his back to protect her, the confrontation moved from the living room to the master bedroom. That’s where Combs allegedly threw her to the ground, causing the eyebrow injury.

After the attack, Ventura said she texted Combs a photo of her bloodied face with the message, “So you can remember.” She explained on the stand that she hoped he would recognize the seriousness of his actions. “At the very least, I just wanted him to be sorry about it,” she said. Despite the incident, she stayed silent publicly at the time, a decision she now says was motivated by fear and emotional manipulation.

Jurors were shown a photo of Ventura attending a music festival shortly after the incident, where she appeared alongside rapper French Montana. She testified that she intentionally styled her hair to cover the wound, concealing it from public view. “I didn’t want people asking questions,” she said, adding that she was already trying to mentally cope with the trauma.

Ventura’s testimony is seen as a pivotal moment in the broader legal case against Combs, which has drawn national attention. Prosecutors are using her account, along with evidence from other alleged victims, to establish a pattern of violence and coercion. As the case unfolds, Ventura’s voice is adding fuel to a reckoning that has shaken the entertainment industry and raised serious questions about accountability and abuse of power.
