Charges Dropped Against Mother Seen Blowing Cigarette Smoke in 1-Month Old Baby’s Face

Tybresha Sexton, mother who blew smoke in baby's face

Chattanooga, TN — Tybresha Sexton, a 24-year old mother who filmed herself exhaling cigarette smoke while holding her newborn baby, has had the charges against her dismissed.

In a sickening 43-second video posted on Facebook, Sexton is seen abusing her 1-month old baby. The footage shows her holding the baby up in the air with one hand while lighting up what seems to be a cigarette with the other.

At some point, she exhaled smoke onto the baby’s face. She also appeared to shake and spin the baby before dropping her down a pillow.

Sexton was arrested after police received several complaints from those who saw the now-viral video.

At the time of the arrest, she allegedly smelled of alcohol and told officers, “I didn’t want this f—–g baby anyway” when she was questioned about the video.

She was initially charged with child neglect, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct and was held on a $100,000 bond.

However, the district attorney recommended to drop the case and said that even though the video is “disturbing,” it would be hard to prove the case in court.
