Diddy’s Lawyers Seek Mistrial Again, Judge Says “No” For the Second Time

Diddy

Nationwide — Sean “Diddy” Combs asked for a mistrial again, claiming prosecutors used false testimony about an alleged balcony incident involving a friend of Cassie, and knew it wasn’t true. However, for the second time, the judge turned down his request.

According to TMZ, Diddy’s legal team filed the motion on Saturday, challenging key claims from Bryana Bongolan, a friend of Cassie. Bongolan testified that Diddy once held her over the edge of a 17-story balcony. Cassie supported the story in court, saying she saw it happen.

However, Diddy’s lawyers say Cassie wasn’t actually there. They cited text messages she sent to Kristina Khorram, one of Diddy’s employees, saying, “I just found out some crazy s***,” suggesting she only heard about it later.

The defense also disputed the timeline of Bongolan’s alleged injuries. Prosecutors showed photos of bruises they said were taken on September 26, 2016, the same day the balcony incident supposedly happened. But Diddy’s team claims he was on the East Coast that day and couldn’t have been involved.

Prosecutors later admitted the incident may have occurred later that week, possibly around September 29 or 30, based on more messages from Cassie.

This is Diddy’s second mistrial request that has been denied. The first one came after his lawyers accused prosecutors of destroying fingerprint evidence tied to a Molotov cocktail attack on Kid Cudi’s car. That request was denied.
