Award-Winning Doctor’s Affirmations to Her Daughter in Crisis Released in New Book

Dear Lauren, Love Mom by Dr. Cheryl E. Woodson

Nationwide — Cheryl E. Woodson, M.D., has been a practicing physician for almost four decades. However, nothing in her practice prepared her to deal with her daughter’s life-threatening illness. Every day for one month she wrote an affirmation to reassure her daughter. Those affirmations have been published in a book entitled, Dear Lauren, Love Mom: 31 Days of Affirmations for My Daughter, for Myself, and for YOU (ISBN 978-0-996-7809-2-6) available on Amazon.

As Dr. Woodson wrote to her daughter, she found healing for herself. “In my race to build a career, raise a family, and deal with other life-stress, I had ignored the soul bruises, insecurities, and disappointments that were still influencing my decisions and relationships,” Woodson says.

July is National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. In addition to our already filled plates, we are in a worldwide pandemic, and we see worldwide upheaval around injustices we have suffered every day for centuries. Many are anxious about what will happen next. Dear Lauren, Love Mom will help readers find hope and take a healing breath each day.
