Nationwide — In a now-viral video, a fight among adults broke out during a kindergarten graduation at Faulk Elementary in West Memphis, Arkansas. The chaotic scene, caught on camera, showed punches thrown and chaos while children watched nearby.
The brawl broke out on May 28. In footage shared by witness Aleicia Evans, several women can be seen arguing before the situation turns violent. Two men initially tried to break up the fight but ended up getting involved.
Children nearby were heard crying and begging the adults to stop. Some people in the crowd left the scene as the fight continued. One woman lost her wig, and a man’s shirt was left stretched and torn.
According to People, the reason behind the altercation remains unclear. The West Memphis School District quickly condemned the behavior, calling it “unacceptable.” Superintendent Eric Foister said the district is reviewing school surveillance footage and has already provided names to the police.
Foister added he plans to press charges and ban the adults from school property, while ensuring children are not punished for their parents’ actions. No serious injuries were reported after the incident.
The school district emphasized its zero-tolerance policy for violence and promised full cooperation with law enforcement. Officials also stressed their ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for students and staff.
