New Book Tells the Story of the Rise and Fall of a Young Black Singer’s Career

Glory's Gift by Lou Holt

Nationwide — African American author Lou Holt’s new book Glory’s Gift is the touching story of Glory, a young girl with an angelic singing voice and the rise and fall of her career.

The fictional story follows Glory, an aspiring singer who rises to the height of fame, hits rock bottom, and then climbs back out to her own success.

In the story, she starts out on her own but meets a man named Sonny who helps her to break out in the music world until tragedy strikes and threatens to ruin all of her dreams. The story details the journey of Glory and her friends as she struggles to stay in the music world. It also reveals how she learned the truth about not only her voice but also why Sonny was interested in her in the first place.

The book is available at bookstores everywhere or online at the Apple iBooks Store, Amazon, or Barnes and Noble.
