Actress Halle Bailey Claims Domestic Violence Abuse by Her Ex, Gets Restraining Order

Halle Bailey and DDG

Nationwide — Actress and singer Halle Bailey has filed for a domestic violence restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, rapper DDG, after claiming he physically and verbally abused her. She has also filed a police report, seeking protection for herself and their child.

In court documents filed in Los Angeles, Bailey said the abuse began in January during a visit when DDG came to pick up their son, Halo. While she was buckling the baby into the car seat, DDG allegedly became aggressive, shouted at her, and started a physical fight. Bailey says he pulled her hair, slammed her face into the steering wheel, and chipped her tooth.

Bailey says she was in pain and had bruises but still rode with DDG to his house to make sure Halo was safe. She later reported the injuries and included photos with her restraining order request, as reported by TMZ.

Bailey claims DDG continued to intimidate her in March when he showed up uninvited at her home, went into her bedroom, and texted her a photo of her empty bed, apparently implying she was seeing someone else. A few days later, when she told him she and Halo were sick, he allegedly got verbally abusive, broke her Ring camera, took her phone, and threw it out his car window.

Bailey says the final straw came during a Mother’s Day trip to St. Lucia. DDG sent her messages about online rumors that she was with another man, singer Brent Faiyaz. She denied it and asked to be left alone.

A judge has now granted a domestic violence restraining order. DDG must stay at least 100 yards away, stop posting about Bailey and their child. Bailey was also allowed to take Halo to Italy for a two-month film shoot.

DDG has not commented publicly on the claims.
