Nationwide — Jamie Foxx is preparing to become a father again at 58, but he initially had doubts about raising another child later in life. The actor said a conversation with Al Pacino helped ease those concerns as he and girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp prepare for their first baby together.
Foxx recently opened up about his decision during a joint interview with his 32-year-old daughter, Corinne Foxx, while promoting “Beat Shazam.” He admitted that his age made him unsure about having another child. His concerns changed after he crossed paths with Pacino, who became a father again in his 80s.
“Being my age, I was a little on the fence,” Foxx said, according to People. He then recalled asking the 86-year-old actor if he would still be handling school drop-offs. Pacino’s experience apparently helped Foxx feel more comfortable with becoming a dad again. “I said, ‘Aw man, shoot I’m good,’” he joked.
The pregnancy marks Foxx’s third child and his first with Huckstepp, 31. He already has two daughters, Corinne and 17-year-old Anelise, from previous relationships. Corinne’s mother is Connie Kline, while Anelise’s mother is Kristin Grannis.
Foxx and Huckstepp first drew attention as a couple in 2023. Their relationship later went through a reported split in January 2025, when Foxx was busy promoting “Back in Action” with Cameron Diaz and his Netflix special, “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was …” By April, the two were photographed together again while leaving Nobu in Malibu.
They continued to appear together throughout 2025. In October, they spent time with a larger group at Kiki on The River in Miami before dining at the restaurant. Their relationship became even more significant this year after the pregnancy was confirmed in May.
In July, the couple was photographed outside Crustacean in Beverly Hills as they waited for their car. Huckstepp wore a long black dress that showed her baby bump, while Foxx wore a black T-shirt and straw hat. The couple is now preparing to welcome their first child together, making Foxx a father of three at 58.
