Woman Robs Dollar Store, Fights Employee, Then Returns to Get Her Cell Phone She Left Behind

Nationwide — Jessinya Faye Ezell, a 34-year-old African American woman from Gulfport, Mississippi, has been arrested for armed robbery. Police say she returned to the crime scene to look for a cellphone she had dropped during the incident.

According to WLBT, the robbery happened around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, at the Dollar General on Dedeaux Road. According to Gulfport police, Ezell entered the store with a gun and demanded money from employees.

A fight broke out between Ezell and a store employee. She then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

While officers were still at the scene investigating, Ezell came back to the store asking about a cellphone she had dropped during the robbery. She was then arrested on the spot.

Ezell was taken to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. Her bond was set at $100,000.
