Woman Brutally Attacks Elderly Couple in a Restaurant Because They Asked Her To Stop Cursing

Little Rock, AR — Joecelyn Thornton, a 33-year old woman from Little Rock, was caught on video attacking an elderly couple at a local restaurant when they asked her to stop cursing while she was talking on her cell phone.

It happened at Cuisine of China, a local Chinese food restaurant, where 74-year old Don Francis and his 69-year old wife Bettye told police that were brutally attacked by Thornton after they politely asked her to stop cursing.

The surveillance video seems to confirm their story. Thorton is seen walking over to their table and jumping in to the elderly man’s face, provoking him. His wife intervenes, and then Thornton jumps into her face and starts provoking her. The elderly woman then pushes Thornton out of her face, and then suddenly Thornton starts attacking her, shoving her into a table and punching her in the face.

Employees at the restaurant were reportedly in complete shock. They called police immediately, and Thornton was arrested on the spot. She is now being charged with 2nd degree battery and 2nd degree assault. The elder couple, meanwhile, were so shaken up that they did not comment to the media about what happened.
