6-Year Old Boy Hit by Car Recognized For Saving His Little Sister’s Life

Kayden Reid

Nationwide — Kayden Reid, a 6-year old boy from Mobile, Alabama who got hit by a car while saving his 2-year old sister, is being called a hero for his bravery.

“I had to go get her before she got ran over by a car, but that’s when the car hit me,” Kayden told FOX10 News about the incident.

Fortunately, both Kayden and his sister Kaycee were safe after the collision. The little boy only had a few scratches and minor injuries that were treated at a nearby hospital.

Kayden returned home to a hero’s welcome from the community with the local fire department that recognized him for his remarkable feat. Wearing his Superman suit, Kayden was given a tour around the firetruck as well as a front-row view in the driver’s seat.

“As a six-year-old young man, for Kayden to be able to recognize what was happening and to react the way he did… He’s definitely a beacon for our future,” Public Information Officer Steven Millhouse said.
