Nationwide — Kenneth Ray Cook, who is from Raleigh County, West Virginia, reportedly sexually abused his daughter for 12 years, which led to the birth of three children. He now faces 152 charges, including multiple counts of incest and child neglect.
Cook, 44, allegedly started abusing his daughter when she was just 9 years old in 2012. The abuse reportedly continued until she was 21 years old, according to People.
Authorities say the three children born from this abuse were found neglected, with one child discovered in poor condition at just 1 year old.
In April, Cook was charged with sexual abuse, sexual assault, child neglect, and three counts of incest. Then, in June, he was indicted on 149 more counts of incest, the latest alleged incident happening as recently as July 2024. Cook has been in jail since March and is held on a $500,000 bond at Southern Regional Jail.
The case is based in part on testimony from a Raleigh County deputy. Neither Cook nor his attorney has commented publicly. The investigation is ongoing.
