Pastor Who Wrote Marriage Guide Book Arrested for Allegedly Having Several Wives

Leslie Williams

Nationwide — Leslie Williams, a 62-year-old African American man from Florida, has been arrested after authorities in Georgia issued a warrant accusing him of bigamy tied to an alleged second marriage. The pastor, known for writing a marriage advice book, now faces claims that he may have had multiple wives.

Williams was taken into custody on April 22 in The Villages, a retirement community in Florida. Officers arrested him based on an outstanding warrant from Rockdale County, Georgia, related to a bigamy charge. Jail records show he is being held without bond as an out-of-state fugitive.

According to People, the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office said investigators reviewed marriage records from Florida and confirmed Williams was still legally married when he entered another marriage. Following that review, authorities secured a warrant for bigamy. In Georgia, the charge carries a possible sentence of one to 10 years in prison.

Williams describes himself online as the pastor of LW Ministries and a board-certified Christian counselor. He is also the author of a 2017 book titled Love Her Like This: Loving Her Has Never Been Deeper, which focuses on marriage commitment and guidance for husbands.

The book encourages men to strengthen their marriages and clearly understand commitment. Its synopsis says it addresses common marital issues that can damage relationships between husbands and wives.

On social media, Williams had previously posted updates that appeared to show changes in his marital status. In December 2025, he appeared to announce a new marriage to a woman named Cindi, which prompted comments from followers who questioned his relationship history.

In later posts, he shared a photo of a woman he referred to as his wife and thanked people for their messages. Despite those posts, his Facebook profile now lists his relationship status as single.
