Two Major Organizations For Black Professionals to Host 30th Anniversary of the Ebony Winter Gala With a Sell-Out Crowd of More Than 4,000 Attendees

Thousands of people attended last year’s event

NationwideThe National Association of Black Accountants (NABA-Boston Chapter) and the United Minority Professionals (UMP) are marking the 30th anniversary of the Ebony Winter Gala with a sell out crowd of more 4,000 attendees. The gala takes place at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA on December 15, 2017 from 8pm to 2am.

Considered to be the premier event of New England Black professionals, the Ebony Gala brings NABA and UMP together in a collaborative effort that includes the following 8 membership organizations:

* National Society of Black Engineers (Boston Chapter)
* National Black MBA Association (Boston Chapter)
* Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. (Eta Phi Chapter)
* Blacks in Government
* Delta Sigma Theta Sorority
* Boston Alumnae Chapter, Black Educators Alliance of Massachusetts
* YMCA of Greater Boston
* Phi Beta Sigma fraternity Inc.

Last year, there were more than 3,500 attendees. This year, there will be three rooms of entertainment including Michael Bivins (of Boston’s own New Edition) new super acapella group, The Price Boyz, and national recording artist, NEXT, performing throughout the evening.

For over 30 years young urban professionals have joined forces at the Ebony Gala to raise money to uplift nonprofit initiatives in their community and beyond. The funds raised at this event support a number of grass roots youth programs which focus on mentoring, youth development, food donations, tutoring, youth at risk programming and much more in the city of Boston and beyond.
