New Podcast Documents the Legacy of Dr. Joe L. Dudley Sr., Legendary Black Businessman, Humanitarian and Co-Founder of the DudleyQ+ Beauty Products

Durham, NC — The Dr. Joe L. Dudley Sr. Legacy Project is currently underway to document the legacy and lifetime impact of legendary businessman, hair-care entrepreneur, and humanitarian Joe Louis Dudley, Sr., Co-Founder of the DudleyQ+ brand. The project was initiated by Jimmy J. Davies, Founder of Every.Black, and is being made available to the general public through a podcast at Patreon.com/JoeDudleySr.

Visitors can subscribe to the podcast to hear Dudley’s speeches, view his photographs, awards received, and watch interviews of those that worked with him and for over the last 50 years. He has trained, mentored, and impacted the lives of thousands of successful men and women. Their stories can also be viewed on the podcast. Anyone that has been impacted by Dr. Dudley and would like to be interviewed for the project can apply at www.Every.Black/Dudley_Interview.

The Dr. Joe L. Dudley Sr. Legacy Project is the first in a series of legacy podcast projects to be released by Every.Black. A second project is currently in the planning stages that will focus on the health and beauty industries.

About Dr. Joe L. Dudley, Sr.
Dudley, born May 9, 1937, is the fifth of 11 children born to Gilmer L. and Clara Yeates of Aurora, North Carolina. Joe was retained in the first grade, labeled mentally retarded, and suffered a speech impediment. His mother never stopped believing in him and is responsible for his overcoming these obstacles.

In 1957, he invested $10 in a sales kit and began selling Fuller Products (owned by SB Fuller) door-to-door. One of Mr. Fuller’s goals, which Joe Dudley adopted, is to help people to maximize their potential and achieve success.

From 1967 through 2008, Joe L. Dudley, Sr. & Eunice Dudley led Dudley Products Company to be listed in the top 50 in Black Enterprise Magazine’s Top 100 Black-Owned Businesses. Throughout his tenure, Dudley Cosmetology University in Kernersville, NC and 4 strategically located schools in the Dudley Beauty School System (DBSS) were created.

Through dedication, hard work, and persistence, he helped take the DudleyQ+ Brand from very humble beginnings to a respected and world-renowned position in the Beauty Industry.

In June 2008, Joe & Eunice Dudley restructured the company and turned it over to their daughter, Ursula Dudley Oglesby who began Dudley Beauty Corp, LLC.
