Sad News: VH1 Star “Real” Dies From Cancer — Was Only 33 Years Old

VH1 Star Real Dies

Hollywood, CA — “Real”, one of the reality stars of VH1’s Real Chance of Love, has died at the age of 33 after a long battle with colon cancer. Ahmad Givens, his real name, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in 2013.

Givens had surgery that initially seemed to be successful, but the cancer returned earlier this year and he began chemotherapy treatments. His condition reportedly got worse after he took a fall this past January; He has since been bedridden. Most recently, he had trouble with both his vision and his speech.

He brother, Chance, who also starred on the show, posted a tribute online saying: “I’ll see you one day soon we shall dance again in God’s kingdom forever and ever bro words can’t describe my pain world pray for me!”

Both Chance and Real were known as the self-proclaimed “Stallionaires”, and they did everything together. They lived together, they produced and performed music together, they traveled, dated, ate, and even bred Arabian horses together. And on VH1’s I Love New York, they both fell in love with the same woman. In fact, they made it to the final two and three respectively, and millions of viewers were stunned when New York sent them both home broken-hearted and accepted a wedding proposal from another man.
