Dallas, Candace and Melanie all grew up together in the City of Detroit and graduated from Munford High School. They routinely have their girl’s day out once a week on Saturday morning to get their hair done at Vidal’s Hair Salon. Dallas is a married, successful Ford company executive in Detroit. Her husband has been laid off for a while and looking for work. Though she is feeling the pressure of carrying the load, she is trying to be a dutiful, supportive wife.
Candace is a budding rapper working as a stripper to make enough money for her demo. Even though she lives the fast money life, her friends keep her level headed and focused on her goals. Melanie is a choir director at her church. Born and raised in the church all her life, she feels directing the choir is her ministry. Although she is committed to the church, she feels sometimes she’s missed out on what the world has to offer. Especially when it comes to having a man in her life. She wants a man but has had trouble finding a good Christian man’ with the right moral fiber and she refuses to settle. The girls go to Vidal’s Salon one typical early Saturday morning to get their hair washed conditioned and curled.
They are talked into getting weaves by the salon owner, Vidal, who has just received a special shipment of a human hair. Unbeknownst to them, the hair is not from a traditional hair supplier. Before getting the new weaves, a very wise older woman named Mama-See-All tries to warn them that there is something not right about the hair, but they don’t listen. The girls don’t know it but their new weaves are about to add a whole new dimension to their lives… But they soon find out. Be careful what you wish for!
