Nationwide — Tyler Perry’s iconic character Madea is returning for another comedy-filled adventure. Madea’s Destination Wedding will be available on Netflix starting July 11, 2025.
In the new film, Madea attends a destination wedding overseas, but as always, chaos follows her every step. Perry, who writes, directs, and stars in the movie, promises a fun mix of humor, family, and drama. “The family thinks they’re coming for a calm celebration, but Madea has other plans. Drama follows her like a shadow,” Perry said.
According to Netflix, the cast includes familiar faces like Cassi Davis as Aunt Bam and David Mann as Mr. Brown, with new characters joining the fun. Perry describes the movie as a vacation gone wrong, full of love, family, and all the ways things can go sideways.
Fans are excited to see Madea return, especially after Perry announced her retirement in 2019. Madea’s Destination Wedding marks the 13th movie in the Madea franchise. Netflix, who released A Madea Homecoming in 2022, is thrilled to bring fans the next chapter of Madea’s adventures.
“Tyler’s films speak to multiple generations,” said a Netflix representative. “We’re proud to be the home of Madea’s next chapter.”
The film promises more laughs, life lessons, and plenty of Madea’s tough love. Madea’s Destination Wedding arrives on Netflix on July 11, 2025.
