Nationwide — A now-viral video shows a white woman in a New York City Wendy’s in a heated argument with a Black man over a dispute about feeding homeless people. The confrontation escalated into racist remarks and spread quickly online.
The footage, filmed on June 13, shows an argument inside the fast-food restaurant between the woman and a Black man. According to Atlanta Black Star, the dispute centers on serving meals to homeless people, but it quickly turns hostile as voices rise inside the store.
At one point, the woman snaps and shouts, “f**k you!” before the exchange turns even more serious. She then tells the man, “You know what’s happening,” she said. “You just made me understand why people are racist. Now I understand why they were f**king enslaved.”
A social media user known as “Dancing_withala_41” records the incident while on her lunch break. She later posts the clip online and tags it “Juneteenth,” adding the caption, “This is where we are at in America.” As the situation unfolds, she reacts in disbelief, saying, “Wow! You understand why they enslaved us?”
The confrontation continues outside the Wendy’s on a busy sidewalk after the woman leaves the restaurant. She repeats racist insults, including calling Black people “monkeys,” while the exchange grows more heated in public view.
As she realizes she is being filmed, her response shifts. “You’re recording me?” she said, “You didn’t see the whole thing.” The moment adds another layer to the already viral confrontation spreading across social media.
Online reactions split as viewers debate what they saw. One commenter wrote, “Is there ANY context that would justify that? Seriously asking.” Another added, “Too much talking and not enough action.”
The woman who filmed the incident later responds to criticism over how she handled the situation. She says, “I am 42 years old. I have never experienced this much racism in my life. I spoke up for Black people everywhere. But I was on duty — I would have gone to jail and lost my job. What about my kids? What about my family? You have no friends but God. I wish you were there.”
The video continues to circulate widely online, drawing more attention as viewers continue to react to the confrontation captured on camera.
