Nationwide — Luv’s Brownies®, the home of the Original Heart-Shaped Brownie®, is proud to announce its 30th Anniversary Celebration on Monday, October 19, 2026, at San José State University (SJSU). In collaboration with the university’s Spartan Speaker Series, the milestone event will feature an inspiring panel discussion followed by a celebratory reception. The evening will center around a powerful conversation featuring Andrea Lacy, Founder of Luv’s Brownies® and proud SJSU alumna, alongside former professional soccer player and sports executive Leslie Osborne. Together, they will explore themes of entrepreneurship, breaking operational barriers, leadership, and embracing different ways of thinking.

The celebration holds profound significance as it takes place during Dyslexia Awareness Month. The origin story of Luv’s Brownies® began in 1996 when Lacy, then a college student with undiagnosed dyslexia, accidentally mixed up a baking recipe. What could have been a setback instead birthed a beloved, three-decade entrepreneurial journey built on resilience, creativity, and determination. “I am incredibly excited to bring this milestone celebration right back to where it all started,” said Andrea Lacy. “San José State is the birthplace of the Original Heart-Shaped Brownie®. This event is a tribute to the Spartan community and a testament to how turning unexpected challenges into opportunities can result in something truly sweet.”

Following the panel discussion, attendees are invited to a special reception. The post-event gathering will feature light refreshments, a raffle for Bay FC tickets, commemorative Celia Cruz quarters, and an abundance of Luv’s Brownies. Additionally, Lacy will share exclusive sneak peeks and exciting details regarding her upcoming venture, the Luv’s Cuban Cafe food truck.
