
Nationwide — Constance Panton, the Founder and CEO of Bifties Gifts, LLC, an e-commerce gifting and logistics company specializing in curated gift boxes featuring Black-owned brand products, has announced the beta launch of Ask Nia, a custom-built AI gifting concierge available free at asknia.bifties.com.
Ask Nia is designed to remove one of the most persistent barriers to supporting Black-owned businesses: the extra effort required to find them. While mainstream AI shopping tools require users to specifically request Black-owned brand recommendations, Ask Nia flips the default. Every recommendation starts with Black-owned brands automatically.
“As AI continues to reshape how people shop, I wanted to make sure Black-owned brands weren’t left out of that shift. Nia doesn’t wait for you to ask for Black-owned brands. That’s already her starting point. We’re still building her out, and we’re excited about where she’s going, but the mission is live right now,” says Constance.

Built for the Mission, Still Growing
Ask Nia is in active beta development. While her core functionality is live, Bifties is continuing to expand her product knowledge, improve recommendation accuracy, and build toward a future vision that includes the ability to shop directly through the concierge interface.
“We launched Nia because the mission couldn’t wait for perfection. Every day that Black-owned brands are an afterthought in AI shopping is a day we’re losing ground. Nia changes that default today, and she’ll only get smarter from here,” says Constance.
Notably, Bifties built Ask Nia not as a pure sales tool, but as a mission-driven resource. Nia will recommend products outside of Bifties’ own inventory when needed, a deliberate design choice rooted in the company’s core mission: making it easy and convenient to support Black-owned brands, regardless of where that purchase happens.
