HBCU Grad Turned Marketing Genius Makes Promise to Help 1,000 Black Entrepreneurs Go Viral in 2022

Dante Lee, founder and CEO of BlackAds and BlackPR

Nationwide — Dante Lee, an alumnus of Bowie State University, a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in PG County, Maryland, is on a mission to help at least 1,000 Black entrepreneurs go viral this year. And so far, via his popular marketing and PR services and his Facebook page where he is known as The Revenue Doctor, he is well on track to reaching that goal.

Lee, who started his company back in the year 2000, has become a well-respected leader in the online marketing and PR industries. Last year alone, he helped get the stories of more than 600 African American business owners in front of hundreds of thousands of readers and potential clients.

So far this year, he has already done the same for about 100 entrepreneurs. These include the following:

#1 – Donna and Deborah Taylor, the founders of Sleep Sassy® Sleepwear
(About 50K shares on social media!)

#2 – Davonne Reaves, founder and CEO of The Vonne Group, which owns 3 major hotels
(About 65K shares on social media!)

#3 – Andrea Lyons, founder of Anna+Pookie, a line of party supplies for children of color
(About 10K shares on social media!)

#4 – Darrell K. Choates, the founder, and CEO of Choates G Contracting LLC, a Black-owned construction firm
(About 147K shares on social media!)

#5 – Rhea G. Madison James, the 10-year old Caribbean-based author of two books
(Almost 50K shares on social media!)

#6 – Dr. Velma Trayham, the founder of the Millionaire Mastermind Entrepreneur Accelerator Program.
(Almost 50K shares on social media!)

#7 – Brad Butler II, a former special ed student who is now an author and an award-winning motivational speaker
(More than 115K shares on social media!)

#8 – Shemika Jackson, the founder of Kafune Amor Hair, which sells hair care products and premium quality lace wigs
(More than 23K shares on social media!)

Lee says that he is very motivated about his mission because the momentum for Black entrepreneurship across the country is stronger than its ever been. He comments, “Thanks to the legacy of publications like Black Enterprise and Facebook groups like Traffic Sales and Profit, Black entrepreneurs are now finally getting the tools, resources, and community support that they need to launch and stay afloat.”

Lee’s technique for promoting businesses is primarily via his BlackPR service that distributes press releases to the African American media and also offers the option to have the story featured on BlackNews.com or BlackBusiness.com (two news websites that he owns) and shared with their respective 800,000+ social media followers.

Earlier this year, he also officially launched a new service called BlackAds that helps scale Black-owned e-commerce businesses through aggressive and intuitive Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns. This service also includes the development of winning creatives, landing pages, and sales funnels that cohesively work together to triple or quadruple sales. In some cases, they’ve even been able to increase their clients’ monthly revenue by tenfold.

He comments, “With both services, we are working with both small and larger Black-owned businesses and helping them to become more visible, which in turn, leads to more revenue.”

With more than 1 million followers across all of his platforms and 22 years in the industry, Lee says that he has no doubt that they most definitely will be able to reach their goal of helping 1,000 Black entrepreneurs go viral in 2022.
