Deidra “Dee” Smith, the weight-loss motivator regained access to her community of more than 943,000
Facebook followers after a season marked by surgery, recovery, business expansion, and the creation of an independent home for The Dee Hive.
Nationwide — After approximately four months without access to the Facebook account where she built a following of more than 943,000 people, weight-loss motivator Deidra “Dee” Smith is back and preparing to lead The Dee Hive’s final weight-loss challenge of 2026. She says her account was compromised and subsequently locked during an already significant period in her life. Shortly after her 40th birthday, she underwent major surgery and
stepped away to recover and spend time with her family.
To followers accustomed to seeing Dee in their daily feeds, it may have appeared that she had disappeared. However, behind the scenes, the mission and movement never stopped. During those four months, she says that God told her to build her own platform. “So while it may have looked like I disappeared, I was actually recovering, rebuilding, trusting and believing.” Rather than waiting for access to be restored, she began developing an independent digital home for The Dee Hive, one that would allow the community to connect beyond any single social network.
A Major Milestone During the Disruption
While Dee was away from Facebook, her influence continued to grow. She was invited by Fairchild’s, known for its organic apple cider vinegar, to become a brand ambassador. The invitation represented a major professional milestone for her. Apple cider vinegar was already visible within the wellness routines she shared with The Dee Hive, including her well-known Bentley mixture. Being approached by an established brand in that space affirmed the reach and credibility of a movement she had built organically.
Dee also expanded her partnership with Vicelle Naturals, incorporating the company’s sea moss gels, Soursop Bitters and Black Seed Bitters into the broader wellness rituals she shares with her community. The products are presented as tools within a larger lifestyle – not quick fixes. Her approach emphasizes portion control, time-based eating, movement, accountability, and consistency, while allowing women to enjoy foods they love within intentional portions and eating windows.
From Personal Transformation to the Dee Hive Effect
After losing approximately 100 pounds naturally, she began sharing the routines and mindset behind her transformation. Her story grew into The Dee Hive, a community focused on sustainable habits, consistency, and mutual accountability. “This is what happens when you stop chasing weight loss and start becoming the woman who lives the routine,” she recently told her community. Recent testimonials shared by Dee include participants reporting losses of 111 pounds and 110 pounds. Individual results vary, and she does not present any participant’s experience as a guaranteed outcome. Instead, she points to the stories as examples of what sustained routines and community support can help women pursue.
The Final 2026 Challenge: Fall in Line
Dee is now inviting women to join The Dee Hive Fall In Line 12-Week Challenge, beginning October 5, 2026. The final challenge of the year will center on mindset, portion awareness, time-based eating, movement, accountability, and consistency. The timing makes this challenge especially significant. It follows major surgery, four months
without access to her largest social media asset, the development of an independent Dee Hive platform, her Fairchild’s ambassador milestone, and the continued expansion of her wellness relationships.

About
Deidra Smith is a weight-loss motivator, digital creator, and founder of The Dee Hive, a community supporting women in the pursuit of sustainable weight loss and healthier lifestyles. Her Facebook presence has grown to more than 943,000 followers. She is also a Fairchild’s brand ambassador and has partnered with Vicelle Naturals.
She is back, but The Dee Hive never really left. She says the experience clarified a lesson that extends far beyond social media: a platform can amplify a movement, but it is not the source of the movement. You can lose the platform without losing the purpose.
