He began his career as a customer care rep at a Verizon store where he immediately learned the value of building relationships, sales, and strategic partnerships. While working there, he was a part of the team that successfully exceeded sales goals.Over time, Marquis successfully transitioned from a customer care specialist to a full-time real estate investor under his Robinson Capital umbrella in 2018. By 2020, his firm had achieved remarkable success and conducted over 500 transactions in the single-family real estate space, totaling over $3 million in revenue.
Additionally, Marquis owns over 130+ doors in the Metro Atlanta area in both B-C Class neighborhoods. He has a knack for adding value to communities, one building at a time, by applying his vertically integrated operation to assets that he purchases. Mr. Robinson has been full cycle on two deals with partners on a 48-unit, which took less than 14 months to complete,e and a 60-unit that took 16 months to complete.
Under the leadership of Marquis, Robinson Capital Group acquired a 31-unit B-Class asset in January of 2024, Cobb County, GA, on South Cobb Drive for $3.5 million with an appraised after-repair value (ARV) of $6.3 million. This asset was purchased and is exclusively managed and operated by Robinson Capital Group.
As a result, Robinson Capital Group has mastered the art of conservative underwriting. Robinson Capital Group employs an efficient, innovative, and effective business strategy. Our approach involves acquiring light value-add multifamily assets at a favorable price point, typically 20%-25% below market value.
