Nationwide — Serial entrepreneur Pamela Chance has officially launched SpadesLife.com, a revolutionary cultural marketplace built to elevate and empower Black-owned businesses, and the stakes have never been higher. As major retailers cut shelf space for Black-owned products and government contracts dry up, the marketplace has stepped in to provide an urgent and unparalleled opportunity for Black entrepreneurs to reclaim their economic power.
“The doors to mainstream retail may be closing, but we’ve built a new table where Black businesses are not just seen, but celebrated,” said Pamela Chance, Founder of SpadesLife Marketplace. “Our Founding 500 initiative is a rallying cry for those who were left behind to rise, to shine, and to secure their rightful place in the marketplace.”
The Founding 500 program is a limited initiative for the first 500 product and service businesses that successfully register and are listed on the marketplace platform. These businesses will receive powerful marketing incentives designed to amplify their visibility, drive sales, and cement their status as early leaders in a cultural and economic movement. With 3.7 million Black-owned businesses in the U.S. and only 2% employing staff, SpadesLife.com is on a mission to turn solopreneurs into thriving employers and to keep Black dollars circulating within our communities.
The name SpadesLife is a tribute to the cultural significance of the card game Spades, a uniquely Black American tradition that symbolizes strategy, partnership, and the shared legacy of community joy. In Spades, every play counts. Every partner matters. Every move is a step toward victory. SpadesLife embodies those same principles as a marketplace built for and by the Black community, a platform where strategic moves lead to lasting economic impact.
“Black culture is one of America’s greatest exports, but for too long, the originators have been left out of the profits,” added Chance. “SpadesLife is here to change that. We’re creating a direct line between Black creators and the buyers who seek authentic products and services. No middlemen. No exploitation. Just opportunity and ownership.”
Sellers and service providers can register now at SpadesLife.com to claim their seat at the table, gain early access to intentional buyers, and join the cultural marketplace that is redefining what it means to shop Black, build Black, and grow Black.
