Actress Kimmarie Johnson, Who Appeared in “Beverly Hills, 90210,” Sadly Dies at 50

Nationwide — Actress and model Kimmarie Johnson, known for her appearances in Beverly Hills, 90210 and Dude, Where’s My Car?, has died at 50. She passed away on Wednesday, November 4, at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles after experiencing a cardiac emergency the previous week. Her family confirmed that the cause of death was a heart aneurysm.

Her niece, Rhonda Scott, shared the news of her passing, according to TMZ. Born Kim Marie Johnson on April 8, 1976, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she initially worked as a flight attendant after graduating from college before pursuing modeling. Her pageant career took off in 1992 when she won Miss Pennsylvania USA. She went on to compete in Miss USA the following year, finishing among the top five contestants.

After relocating to Los Angeles in the mid-1990s, Johnson continued modeling and began pursuing acting opportunities. She made her television debut in 1998, playing Jane in an episode of Beverly Hills, 90210. In 2000, she appeared in the comedy Dude, Where’s My Car?, starring Ashton Kutcher and Seann William Scott. She played one of five women known as the “jumpsuit chicks,” who were revealed to be aliens in disguise. That same year, she also landed a role in V.I.P., the television series starring Pamela Anderson.

She later reduced her acting commitments after giving birth to her son, Cameron Nino, in 2003. However, she continued taking on occasional projects, including appearances in Wanda at Large and the comedy film Spanish Fly. Her final acting credit came in 2017 with the series Tucker’s War. Beyond her work in front of the camera, she also ventured into production and business. In 2011, she launched SkinGlow by Kimmarie, her own skincare brand.

Johnson remained active in modeling and fashion even as she stepped away from regular acting work. She frequently used Instagram to share updates about her projects and collaborations. Her final post appeared on August 27, featuring a collaboration with a fashion house. Earlier in the year, she attended the Los Angeles premiere of Michael on April 22, in what appeared to be her last red-carpet appearance. She also appeared on the cover of a digital edition of Grazia Slovenia magazine in August.

She is survived by her son, Cameron, who works as a musician in Los Angeles, and her niece, Rhonda Scott. Her career spanned modeling, television, film, and entrepreneurship, with several appearances that brought her recognition during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
