Books Aim to Strengthen the Business of Black-Owned Barber Shops and Hair Salons

Louisville, KY — Alan D. Benson, president of MHB Publishing and community advocate, has released two books that will position and strengthen barbershop and beauty shop operations. The barbershop book, Keep That Seat Hot and the beauty shop book, Her Hair is Her Crown of Glory, teach business principles for owning, growing, and sustaining a business. They discuss practical and common- sense approaches for marketing your business, having excellent customer service, exercising prudent financial management, having the right team in your business, expanding your business, and investing in yourself and business.
