Decatur, AL — A woman from Alabama was able to defend herself when she reportedly poured a pot of hot grease on Larondrick Macklin, a 31-year old man, who broke into her house with a gun.According to police, they were called to a house for a domestic dispute. When responders arrived, they found Macklin with burns on his face.
Police eventually discovered that Macklin was the “primary aggressor in the altercation” as he burglarized the house of the woman who defended herself “with a pot containing hot grease.”
It is not yet clear if Macklin was related to the woman. A police spokeswoman said, ” Since the situation was of a domestic nature, we are not at liberty to discuss the relationship between the victim and the suspect at this time.”
After being treated at the hospital, Macklin was arrested on charges of first-degree domestic violence and first-degree burglary.
He is being held in the Morgan County Jail in lieu of $300,000 bond.
