Nationwide — Reality star and influencer Angel Victoria Murdock, who appeared on the dating show “Temptation Island,” is facing allegations that she fabricated her education and real estate career. The 26-year-old gained more than 300,000 social media followers by portraying herself as a successful realtor and Duke University graduate. Her claims came under scrutiny after graduates from Duke’s Physician Assistant program began investigating her posts.
Murdock regularly shared TikToks about her supposed life as a Duke PA student. She posted videos of herself wearing scrubs, studying medical notes, and appearing to take part in clinical rotations. In 2026, she shared photos that appeared to show her graduating from the program. “Today, I get to look back and realize that every late night, every sacrifice, every setback and every prayer was leading me right here,” she wrote in an Instagram caption. But a Duke spokesperson said the university has “no record of a student by the name of Angel Murdock having applied to or attended the Duke Physician Assistant Program,” according to the New York Post.
The graduation photos quickly raised questions among students in the 2026 PA class. The program had 89 students, but graduates said they did not recognize Murdock from classes, campus events, or social gatherings. They also found that she was not included in the official class photo, was not listed with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and did not have her name called during the graduation ceremony. Students also noticed that the color of her graduation gown did not match the gown used by their program. Kiera Lee, the class historian, said she knew everyone in the cohort and had never heard of Murdock. Graduates said they had first noticed her social media posts the previous year but initially chose not to investigate further.
Questions also emerged about her earlier education. Murdock had claimed that she earned a double major in Psychology and Biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The university reportedly confirmed that she never graduated and left before completing her studies. Her real estate credentials have also come under scrutiny. Online, she described herself as “Licensed in NC & GA” and posted property listings, home tours, and photos of people she identified as clients. She also claimed to earn as much as $7,200 a month from real estate. However, neither North Carolina nor Georgia’s licensing databases list her as a licensed real estate agent. Howard Hanna Allen Tate Real Estate, where she claimed to have worked, also said it had never employed anyone by her name.
The real estate allegations could have legal consequences if she actually conducted property transactions without a license. In North Carolina, impersonating a real estate broker is a Class 1 misdemeanor. Georgia also considers the offense a misdemeanor that can result in fines. Murdock also used the term “REALTOR,” a federally registered trademark belonging to the National Association of Realtors, despite reportedly not being a member. A source with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said she is not currently under investigation. However, authorities would take the matter seriously if someone came forward claiming to be a victim of impersonation. It remains unclear whether she actually earned money from the real estate deals featured on her social media.
Murdock’s social media presence grew further after she appeared on Netflix’s “Temptation Island” in 2025. She joined the show as one of the singles brought in to test the relationships of four couples in Hawaii. The allegations have since led her to deactivate her main TikTok and Instagram accounts. Murdock and the National Association of Realtors did not respond to requests for comment. The controversy now centers on how much of the career and educational background she presented online was real.
