London, UK (BlackNews.com) – Mother of four, Angela Lee Rahman, launches her first book, Finally In Love With Myself, in support of victims and survivors of abuse at the start of commemorations for Women’s International Day. The launch hosted by former EastEnders actress, Judith Jacob will be held on Saturday 7th March, between 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the Black Cultural Archives, Windrush Square, Brixton SW2 1EF (in England). Finally In Love With Myself, published by Angela’s own publishing company, Nubia Publishing (Nubia Ltd), is based on a true story. Each chapter delves deep into each respective journey and is specifically geared towards providing tools on how one can overcome the traumas of abuse.

“Traditionally, the focus has been on physical abuse, it has only been since last year that the Government with its amendments to the Health and Social Care Act 1985, has recognized other forms of abuse in order to ensure that victims have the necessary support to protect themselves,” said first time author, Angela Lee.

The event will be empowered by women authors and inspirational speakers and held at the newly opened Black Cultural Archives, that provides historical cultural heritage of Black people in Britain.

Here’s what others are saying:
