Nationwide — Barack and Michelle Obama’s new $18 million beachfront mansion in Hawaii is nearly complete, despite ongoing rumors about their marriage. The couple was recently seen in Oahu, enjoying the island while overseeing the final stages of their property’s construction.
Located in Oahu, the mansion is surrounded by palm trees and boasts a white roof. The two other homes on the property still need to pass building code inspections, but overall, the estate is almost ready for the Obamas to call it home.
Speculation about their marriage troubles began in late 2024 when Barack was linked to actress Jennifer Aniston. Aniston denied the claims, calling them “absolutely untrue.”
In January 2025, Michelle’s absence from former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral and Donald Trump’s inauguration fueled further rumors. However, reports claimed she was on an extended holiday vacation in Hawaii at the time.
Despite the rumors, the Obamas continue to display affection publicly. Barack shared a heartfelt Instagram post for Michelle’s 61st birthday, and the couple exchanged Valentine’s Day messages. In late February, they were spotted kayaking together in Hawaii.
The Obamas have been married for 32 years and share two daughters, Malia, 26, and Sasha, 23.
