Black Woman From Ohio Who Killed 3-Year-Old Boy Shows No Remorse in Court

Bionca Ellis

Nationwide — A tragic incident unfolded when a 3-year-old African American boy from Cleveland, Ohio, was murdered, allegedly by 32-year-old Bionca Ellis, who showed no remorse during her court appearance. Ellis smiled as she was indicted on charges including aggravated murder and attempted murder. Her bond was set at $5 million.

The incident happened on June 3, when Margot Wood and her son Julian were at a Cleveland grocery store. Ellis, armed with knives stolen from a thrift store, stabbed Julian twice in his shopping cart and attacked Margot before fleeing. Police later found Ellis nearby with a bloodied knife. Julian was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Authorities described the attack as a random act of violence. During the bond hearing, Julian’s father expressed deep grief and urged the court to deny bail or set it very high to keep Ellis detained. He emphasized the irreparable loss his family faces.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Ellis. The community is in shock over the senseless killing and Ellis’ apparent lack of remorse. This case highlights the profound impact of random violence on families and communities.
