Nationwide — A Black-owned moving and logistics service company called College Dudes Help U Move Inc. is adding 50 jobs to the Charlotte, North Carolina area. Many of the available positions will go to support underserved communities.
The pay for experienced professional movers will start at $15 an hour, with the opportunity for tips and a bonus. The pay for experienced foremen will start at around $16-$18 an hour with opportunities for tips and bonuses. The pay for account managers will start around $36,000 to $65,000/year.
The COVID-19 pandemic has led to one of the highest unemployment rates in Mecklenburg County and surrounding areas in over a decade.
Abraham Cannon, President and CEO of the company, says that as a Black entrepreneur, he is committed to working hard to provide good-paying job opportunities at a wage that will have an actual impact on people’s lives and the communities in which they live.

College Dudes Help U Move, Inc., was founded in 2019 and is a Black and minority-owned company that has quickly become one of the largest residential and commercial movers in the state of North Carolina. The company was able to expand from Charlotte to Greensboro and Raleigh in less than two years, with plans to open offices in Greenville South Carolina, Columbia South Carolina, and Tennessee.
