Nationwide — An unidentified African American woman who works at a law firm in Buffalo, New York faced discrimination when a fellow office worker, who is a white woman, questioned her use of a bathroom in their shared building. The incident, which was captured on video, has since gained attention.

In the video, posted on her TikTok channel, the Black woman exits a bathroom only to be confronted by a white woman in the hallway, according to the Daily Mail.

“Can I ask who you report to so I can call the law firm?” the unidentified white woman asked. She then went on to question her use of the bathroom, insisting she should use the restroom on her own floor.

“Why do I have to stay on my floor? Because of what?” the Black woman asks, visibly frustrated.

It turns out both women work for the same law firm, just on different floors.

The situation escalated as the white woman then threatened to call security but instead decided to go downstairs to make a report in person. Throughout the exchange, the Black woman asserted her right to use any bathroom in the building since they both work for the same law firm.

The video has garnered significant online attention, amassing over 1.2 million views. Many viewers questioned why the white woman felt entitled to dictate bathroom usage within the same office building.
